Local Author to Present April Quarterly Program

April Quarterly Meeting to Feature Local Author, Annette T. Harris

    The speaker at this month’s quarterly meeting will be Annette T. Harris of Sodus who is the author of  World War II Prisoner of War Camps in Wayne County, New York.  Ms. Harris, who is the former director of the Wayne County Historical Society and past president of the Lyons Heritage Society will share her knowledge of the history of these camps — one of which was located on the corner of Lock and Caroline Sts. in Clyde. She has also authored , Small Beginnings; A History of Newark, NY and is currently working on a book about Revolutionary War General ‘Mad’ Anthony Wayne, for whom our county is named.
    The quarterly meeting will be held on Monday, April 28th at the Brick Church Museum at 6:30 p.m.  Ms. Harris’ presentation will be at 7 p.m. following a brief business meeting.  Refreshments will follow. Attendees are asked to bring a dessert-to-pass.  Beverages will be provided.
