The Galen Historical Society opened the Brick Church Museum for the annual Erie Canal Bike tour on Tuesday July 11th, 2017. We offered the riders a chance to see some of our local history, along with the opportunity to enjoy the air conditioning and bathroom. Many local businesses and service organizations gave them a warm welcome and assistance. There was even a free lunch at the Clyde Methodist Church. There were over 750 riders ranging in age from 3 to 84 years old. Many riders were from New York State, some were from Canada, and a few were from around the world. We enjoyed visiting with them, and hope to see them again next year.
